Not all iPhones will be eligible for the the upcoming Apple iOS 17 software set to launch with the new iPhone.

With the upcoming launch of the iPhone 15, Apple's operating system will also get a swishy new upgrade.

It is expected to launch soon as Apple recently confirmed its usual September iPhone launch event with iOS 17 to follow shortly after. However, not everyone will be eligible to get the upgrade. Some older devices will be left off the list. It's an exciting release but sadly, not everyone with an iPhone currently running iOS16 will get access to iOS 17. If you own an iPhone 8 or iPhone X you're going to need to upgrade your device to get iOS 17.

Changes in this upcoming release include Personalised Contact Posters which appear when you make a call. These can be fully customised to suit your tastes with colours and font adaptable. That means iPhone users can choose what pops up on your screen when you call your friends.
