AMD unveil Radeon RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT, two new 1440p-class RDNA3 graphics cards

The AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT are aimed at gaming enthusiasts who want to game at 1440p, and comes with a host of software features like AMD HYPR-RX.

is now finally showing off the Radeon RX 7800 XT and the Radeon RX 7700 XT, the two graphics cards that sit in the middle of their product stack targeting gaming enthusiasts that want to play at 1440p.

Starting off with the Radeon RX 7800 XT, this new graphics card built on the RDNA3 architecture features 60 compute units running at 2124Mhz with boosts of up to 2430MHz, 60 ray accelerators and 120 AI accelerators. Mated to 16GB of GDDR6 VRAM with a 256-bit memory interface and 64MB of Infinity Cache, the RX 7800 XT has a rated total board power of 263W, with AMD recommending you use a 700W power supply with this GPU.

As for the Radeon RX 7700 XT, the little sibling still packs quite a punch with 54 compute units running at 2171MHz with boosts of up to 2544MHz, 54 ray accelerators and 108 AI accelerators. It comes with 12GB of GDDR6 VRAM with a 192-bit memory interface and 48MB of Infinity Cache. Even though it has a slightly lower rated total board power of 245W, AMD still suggests you use a 700W power supply with the Radeon RX 7700 XT.

It’s not just all hardware improvements though with these two new cards, with AMD also unveiling their new FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 technology which now features frame generation, as well as AMD HYPR-RX, a new feature that makes it easier to manage the various software tools such as AMD Radeon Super Resolution, AMD Radeon Anti-Lag and AMD Radeon Boost.

Both the AMD Radeon RX 7800 and the RX 7700 XT will be available globally from 6 September onwards from their board partners such as Asrock, Asus, Biostar, Gigabyte, PowerColor, Sapphie, Vastarmor, XFX and Yeston. As for pricing, they will come with a recommended retail pricing ofrespectively, though you can expect the exact price to vary based on the specific models from their board partners.
