How the Apple store lost its ‘wow factor’

For as fabulous and innovative as the products are, the store is just a very shiny, expensive repair shop packed with people’s messed up things. It’s like going to a mechanic for your car - you’re never sure what’s really wrong but they’re the only ones who can fix it.

Well... pretty simple. Annoying staff, ridiculous lines, everything is too expensive, & last but not least, there’s a good chance they won’t be able to “fix it” in your allotted appointment time or at all. So basically it’s just a huge shiny room with massive tables and plugs 🤷🏼‍♂️

Duh. When you need an appointment to buy a simple phone case and even then it takes 20 minutes—that’s not special.

The head of HR is taking over the management of its retail and online stores? What could POSSIBLY go wrong?

It’s because it’s annoying as hell getting service at Apple.

And support standards. Ever visit a store and God help u if u want some help. could care less

The rules are rather simple everything that goes up must come down! OR the crown moves from one head to the next

Apparently I’m in the minority, because I still love going to Apple stores.

Is it because there are emergency rooms that have shorter wait times? Or is it because there are emergency rooms that don’t cost as much?

I think it was the smoking iphone x’s and utter lack of any ownership by staff or management. Oh and now the service sucks and nobody seems to know anything about the products anymore

No one likes waiting 2 hours for someone to tell them they just need a new phone anyway

They lost because they stopped innovating big things and tweaked a technology that is no longer disrupting industries.
