Could fingerprint scanners replace check-in lines at airports, baseball games and hospitals?

What if you don't have any fingerprints? Mine are gone from shuffling papers.

It will be more efficient that’s for sure!!!

The minute my fingerprint or facial recognition is my way into a concert or sporting event is the minute I stop buying tickets. No leisurely product should ever require such invasive information.

I certainly hope not. I have never successfully used the technology on my own “I” device...

Unfortunately finger print scanners are not that great. We have one in our condo building. If your fingers become wrinkled it doesn't work.

No. Fingerprints degrade with time and age; especially so when a person's hand are subjected to repeated washings (ie, childcare, janitorial, health care, etc). Requiring readable fingerprints of everyone would be a nightmare of epic proportions.

I’m old enough to remember when a person would be looked down upon and laughed at for making such a claim.

If you can get them to work. School has installed these as a way for kids to pay for lunch. Watched cafeteria aide spend 5 minutes trying to get a kid’s finger to scan. Finally she just moved him along without a successful scan.

Clear works pretty efficiently using that technology.

My fingerprints are so worn down that the last time I tried to get a job where I had to be fingerprinted, they could get enough pattern points.
