Everywhere you look these days, we see AI-based disruption in human interactions. Chatbox as a tool in customer service is not new and, as AI systems become more capable, expect to encounter more and more of them handling increasingly complex tasks. Voice synthesis and recognition technology means they will also answer the phone and even call you.
What is the difference between ChatGPT, Bard, and Bing AI? All three systems are built on the same foundation, a type of AI technology called a “large language model” or LLM. But there are small differences in application that can lead to large variations in output. The uses of AI in these situations sound quite benign. So, why are experts linking growing use of AI to the end of humanity or society as we know it? We do not yet know what will happen if we build an AI system that is smarter than humans at everything it does.
