The Cubs’ season came to a close earlier this month after dropping the West Division Championship series in five games to the defending Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League champion, the Soo Thunderbirds.
“The Cubs’ record-setting season included a first-place finish in the NOJHL’s West Division that included a franchise record 94-point regular season on the strength of 46 wins in 58 games played.” With the conclusion of the 2022-23 season, Sudbury Cubs team management have announced the winners of the Cubs individual player awards.
“The Sudbury Cubs would sincerely like to thank the players, the player-billet families, the fans, the corporate sponsors and everyone in the community that have helped make the 2022-23 season a success both on and off the ice,” said a press release. “The Greater Sudbury Cubs organization would like to wish everyone a safe and enjoyable off-season as we sincerely look forward to welcoming everyone back to the Gerry McCrory Countryside Sports Complex in September.”
