The federal commissioner representing Katsina State in the commission, Bala Almu Banye, gave the assurance while inaugurating a 24-member state census publicity committee.
He said the vision of the 2023 census was to produce not only accurate, reliable and acceptable data, but to also have an inclusive user-friendly data that would be used by all segments of the society for development planning and critical programme interventions. The commissioner added that the commission would deploy full digital technology in the conduct of the census and leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the result of the census is generally acceptable to Nigerians and the quality of the data to be generated meets international best standards.
Inaugurating the committee, the state deputy governor, Mannir Yakubu, urged the members to be mindful of the imperative of the exercise in nation-building and economic development and do their best to ensure the success of the exercise.
