If you've ever wanted to complain to customer service — about customer service — you're not alone.

The survey found that customers' biggest frustration was having to sit through long prompts before being able to talk to a real person. Broetzmann blames much of the problem on companies and products relying more on automation and technology. "Technology, for all of its benefits that it affords us, when it comes to having a problem and trying to get it resolved, in many cases it serves as an impediment," Broetzmann said.

1 word : outsourcing to India and the Philippines is to blame, when customer service gets outsourced the chain of accountability is purposefully broken

Karens unite

'Your call is important to us' Translation: We're too cheap to hire enough staff.

Companies are not penalized for poor customer service because the “thought leaders” that enable collusion without actually colluding instructed them to all hide 800s and force people through mazes

No kindness is not going to fix this problem. Hire staff who know how to repair stuff. Stop selling junk that falls apart. Stop buying stuff. Let’s boycott shopping. And travelling. 😫

When customer service says the word “unfortunately”. …immediately hang up the fking phone….you are doomed. If you like wasting your time…..continue to the end of the sentence!

The bloody 'robo service' is the worst. You can not get through to human except maybe email that won't get to in 48hrs but they need you to finish something in 12hrs. Insane.

No shit
