Americans shared whether or not they believe the government should regulate artificial intelligence amid the technology's rapid and ongoing advancement.

"When you talk about whether or not the government is playing a role, really we're looking at laws and regulations," the lawyer told Fox News."AI is going to be something that's going to cover a lot of different areas of law, including copyright, trademark … estate planning."

"So, for instance, if you have photographs of people, and then you want to use AI to create a real person or a real video, you could have some copyright infringement or some personal Privacy Act problems with that," Leigh said.

After the conversations I heard today by some AI 'Experts', yes. One guy literally said folks will rot away, distracted playing games and AI will lead this charge until the population dwindles down to whom ever or what ever they plan to leave behind. Yes, get involved.

If industry cannot act like adults and come to agreement on standards and safety precautions, then, yes, governments may need to step in.
