No it didn't. ChatGPT uses the work of (uncredited) humans. It's a derivative work generator.

I feel that labelling text helps me to understand the data better and leads to stronger analysis. Getting ChatGPT to label samples would save time but would dilute the insight into what it all means.

Yeah I've already done this. Had GPT generate examples for another NLP training set. GPT gets scary when you re-train it on your own data, (read its documentation). Everyone is focused on chat.. you need to check the other API's. The one for coding is spooky.

ChatGPT is nothing but a derivative work generator trained on data scraped from the web without permission. Data that was low hanging fruit. That it is being put on a pedestal as superior to humans is truly insane. Everything it does is based on content provided by humans.

Now That ChatGPT Is Plugged In, Things Could Get WeirdLetting the chatbot interact with the live internet will make it more useful—and more problematic, too. I’m not concerned at this point of AI becoming autonomous with my current though rudimentary understanding of it. It will be spooky but a mirage of autonomy constructed by computer logic and language. Things change. Stop hyping this nontopic. Chatgpt is ~useless and if it interacts, 99% of it would be malicious/detrimental. Incredible insight! 💡
