FILIPINO Gen Zs are highly connected, with nearly 99 percent owning smartphones with internet access and about 73 percent spending a significant amount of time online.

Businesses need to adjust to this generation's purchasing preferences. Dennis de Jesus, Anchanto country head of the Philippines, shared his insights on Gen Z shoppers and the opportunities and challenges for the Philippines' e-commerce growth in 2023 in an email interview.

' De Jesus added they expect to see e-commerce businesses pursue expansion opportunities through: data gathering and strategic implementation, better customer experience and social commerce. Better customer experience involves using solutions like SaaS products to understand and meet customer expectations, enhancing business operations for faster success.
