They will also deny procedures that are normally covered by Medicare. They also have co payments and deductibles. If anyone is thinking about switching to one, be prepared to have problems. It is NOT the same as Medicare.
Medicare advantage plans are NOT Medicare. They are commercial carriers that have their own rules and payment fee schedules. They work just like any other commercial healthcare plan. Don't be fooled. They are in business to take members off Medicare.

Medicare Advantage is not Medicare. It is private insurance that receives money from the Federal government and their profits are what's left over after they pay for your care. Of course they're going to deny you care, that's how they maximize their profits.

12 of my friends have been put on home hospice and died instead of getting the treatment that could save them . But they loved the free stuff from the HMO or PPO's that the insurance companies gave them .
