OpenAI's new GPT-4 version can accept and generate longer entries — up to 25,000 words. It can also generate captions and other information using an image as a starting point.

, generative AI just got a lot more powerful — and we got a fresh reminder of just how unprepared we are to deal with these new machines.: The amazing computer systems that can now ace standardized tests and maybe even do your taxes are still disturbingly prone to errors, bias and hallucinations.GPT-4 is an updated, significantly more powerful version of the engine that powers OpenAI's ChatGPT.

No, ChatGPT would not score in any percentile on the Bar Exam. Its score would be zero. Bar exam takers are prohibited from using notes or any sources of information during the exam, and AI's clearly do use these.

if it can be used to win cases, perhaps someday people will use it to defend themselves.

Passing the bar doesn't make you an attorney. Passing the bar is just one factor, of several, that gets you a ticket to try to be an attorney. Not all who have the ticket make it to bona fide journeyman level attorney status. Well done chatbots. Not much, yet, beyond that.

Fortunately, the bar exam in most states, perhaps all, is closed book/no notes. So prospective attorneys can't cheat by accessing ChatGPT to help answer questions on the exams.

If only Axios focused on the actual problem 👇.

The job of good reporters is to call out fascism when it arise like Ben Montgomery did. Everyone can see your so call news outlet has no integrity.

firing Ben Montgomery was a cowardly, bullsh*t move.

You've already lost all credibility. Nothing you report can ever be trusted again now that you've actively sided with fascists.

Be ashamed of firing Ben Montgomery for calling out BS. Way to lose credibility and placate scummy politicians Just as bad as mainstream media

Will AI/ChatGPT, etc. cause diminished creativity? Laziness? Wider wealth gap? How are parents, schools, churches, governments preparing children for a world- faster paced? Higher standards AI assisted humans? How to Encourage innovation?

By 'artificial intelligence,' Axios means openai's plagiarizer.

This is propaganda, not a press release.
