HPE acquires private network 5G firm

The incorporation of Athonet’s technology is expected to allow HPE to deliver private networking capabilities directly to enterprises as part of HPE’s Aruba networking portfolio and to enable communications service providers to deploy private 5G networks for their customers. The company also said last week that the U.S. Department of Energy's Carbon Storage Assurance Facility Enterprise program had selected it, in partnership with Howard Energy Partners, the Port of Corpus Christi Authority and the Texas A&M University System, for a $9 million grantHouston-based Shipley Do-Nuts said last week it would expand in Colorado through a Utah-based franchisee helmed by a fourth-generation Houstonian.
