Extreme Networks Chief Executive Ed Meyercord says his company is seeking to boost Australian WiFi expansion for major sporting events such as the AFL, Cricket and NRL.

“Today the network is really the connective tissue around all digital transformation,” he told Sky News Business Reporter Ed Boyd.

“So there’s kind of a renaissance in networking, it used to be about a box – who has a box that’s the fastest, the router that’s the fastest, ports, etcetera. “Now it’s changed, now it’s all about new ways to drive better outcomes for businesses leveraging data from the network and technology in the network to drive these outcomes.”
