Trump called for new innovation and outlined plans to host a contest that would design and create up to ten new “Freedom Cities,” that would be built on federal land. Trump admitted that the proposal for the contest is ambitious, but not unheard of.

Trump admitted that the proposal for the contest, which would occur if he gets elected to a second term in the White House next year, is ambitious but not unheard of.“Past generations of Americans pursued big dreams and daring projects that once seemed absolutely impossible," Trump said in his video."They pushed across an unsettled continent and built new cities in the wild frontier. They transformed American life with the interstate highway system—magnificent it was.

He continued,"But today, our country has lost its boldness. Under my leadership, we will get it back in a very big way. If you look at just three years ago, what we were doing was unthinkable, how good it was, how great it was for our country. Our objective will be a quantum leap in the American standard of living."

Trump said the contest would propose an investment in the development of vertical-takeoff-and-landing vehicles, the creation of “hives of industry” that cuts off imports from China, and incentives for would-be-parents to have kids, thereby causing a population surge, according to Politico. Although the contest would be out of the ordinary, Trump has made other unusual proposals, such as buying Greenland from Denmark, his staff noted to the outlet. Abraham Lincoln campaigned for the transcontinental railroad, Theodore Roosevelt created the National Park Service, and Dwight D. Eisenhower established the interstate highway system, the staffers also noted.

Trump is expected to highlight and elaborate on his policy proposals on Saturday, during a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference in a Maryland suburb of Washington D.C.

We don’t need more cities that will become sewers.

Trump is the Teddy Roosevelt of our time. Folks hate ambitious plans because they all kinda just want to bug out and retreat to the woods. If you truly cared for conservative values, you would see the proposal for what it really is: an effort to build an apartheid state that…
