Britons tightening their belts in readiness for Brexit, it would seem. Not literally, of course, as no-one's buying the clothes from Debenhams, obviously, hence the reason for this story. Anyway, STOP BREXIT!!! PeoplesVoteNow
Nice stuff but a bit overpriced
Here comes Mike Ashley
I went in to get a pair of jeans a week ago....spent a good few minutes looking for a shop floor assistant, only when I had decided to walk out without purchase did I see 3 in a corner huddled around their phones.
Nothing is forever.. Fact!
CityLondonAlan CEO alone paid 1.6% of gross profit before the other fat executives are paid. No company can survive that cost overhead in today's market...
No one can save Debenhams now. The whole retail dept model is redundant. These spaces should be concession with brands taking them direct
Why not open up a food hall, plus sell some nice clothes.
Mike Ashley circling overhead ready to turn it into a shithole they call it the Ashley touch
I was in House of Fraser and Debenhams on Oxford Street a few months back. Rubbish. Dead. No wonder nobody wants to shop there.
Everything has a beginning and an end
justifies an asset sell off i guess...
Who else only goes in for the toilets?
Hmm it’s almost like they don’t know what they are doing. They should let Ashley help.
