The laptop was reported stolen yesterday and police have already arrested two suspects

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of burglary after a laptop was stolen from a home in Radford. The laptop was recovered after police used its tracking software to locate its exact location.

The burglary was reported at 5.30pm yesterday , when a woman came home to find her Apple MacBook laptop missing from her kitchen table in Burns Street. When police arrived she used the tracking software to lead them to a flat in Noel Street, where the laptop was found. A 22-year-old man and a 32-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and handling stolen goods. They remain in custody.Detective Sergeant Rob Palethorpe, of Nottinghamshire Police's city burglary team, said: “I hope the speed of these arrests provides some reassurance to the local community and demonstrates how seriously we treat reports of burglary.

“Our inquiries into this incident remain ongoing but it appears access to the property was gained through an insecure window. Burglary is a distressing crime and so we would once again remind people to keep their doors and windows locked when not at home to mitigate the risk of your possessions being taken.”
