As for software... I am a developer and I can say this. For long established soluntions with many examples already on the web it does fine. Ask it for something new and well... LOL would be kind response. It's not good with 'new'.

But really... in a university setting, if a profs assignment to students can be adequately completed by chatGPT then the prof has kinda failed to craft an assignment that 'requires' human originality. Uni should not be about the regurgitation of facts. If it was, use chatGPT!
