The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), on Tuesday approved the deployment of advanced surveillance technology to address insecurity and crime in Imo and other southeastern states.

“The approval to convert the Federal Medical Centre Owerri to a University Teaching Hospital for the Federal University of Technology, the approval that converted Alvan Ikoku College of Education to a federal college of education.

Citing reduced crime rate and other infrastructural projects in his state, Uzodimma said his government was looking forward to a better year. “My people have seen a lot of thing. If you go to the South-East, in Imo State for instance, we got approval of Mr. President, that has now enabled the government of Imo State partnering the Nigerian Navy to dredge Oguta River to Orashi River to the sea, that is opening up that maritime route.

Same technology should be used in Kaduna. Most especially southern Kaduna. It should also be used in tackling insecurity caused by bandits and herdsmen

Always approving but none works.

Good work

What stops from approving it on north where boko haram and bandit are killing people day and night. It means he is preserving boko haram and bandit against other ethnic groups in Nigeria. Injustices will not save Nigeria

Give people jobs by building industries and sponsoring small business owners. Use the money to invest in agriculture so people will be busy doing something. How long will the tech last, and who will maintain it? This is foolish agenda.
