SINGAPORE – To better handle security incidents, the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority is leveraging video analytics and live tracking technology at the Woodlands and Tuas checkpoints.
Previously, ICA officers had to manually monitor closed-circuit television footage to identify unattended baggage, abandoned vehicles and intrusion attempts. ICA said in a statement: “Ground commanders thus have a better appreciation of the situation and are better equipped to make timely and well-informed decisions when managing daily operations and security incidents.”
