Speculation has swirled around social media that Donald Trump could announce the launch of a new political party as the former US president suggested his “big announcement” will be “one of the most important days” in American history.
On the eve of the midterm elections Mr Trump formally declared he will make a “very big announcement on Tuesday, November 15 at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida”. Mr Trump did not elaborate further although speculation persists he will use this opportunity to reveal his bid for a second presidential run in the leadup to the 2024 election.
On Monday night, local time, former president Trump posted on his social media platform ‘Truth Social’: “Hopefully, tomorrow will turn out to be one of the most important days in the history of our country!”
