The Comelec has pushed back by a week the pilot run of its “Register Anywhere” system in Metro Manila as it continues to fine-tune the project’s information technology infrastructure. | kdevillaINQ /PDI

Comelec spokesperson John Rex Laudiangco said on Wednesday the pilot run would now run from Dec. 17 until Jan. 29, except holidays, at five malls in the capital region where a public demo will also be held.“At the moment, every step of the processes is currently being studied and improved, most particularly on the IT infrastructure part,” Laudiangco told reporters in a message.

The poll body was earlier scheduled to start on Dec. 10, but he said the Comelec would also have to refine the registration setup in malls, including the crowd queuing and management.
