Mark used an energy monitor to complete his experiment, which shows you exactly how many kilowatts of energy a household is using at any given time."Turn off your appliances from stand by - have you ever heard this energy saving tip?" he asked the camera. Mark began the experiment by switching off every plug in the house, leaving just his wifi router and his energy monitor on to gather his data.
He then tried to find out how much electricity he would be using with a normal amount of electronics plugged in and on standby mode.
