The Missions are currently owned by the Elmore Sports Group and play at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium, which was built off U.S. Highway 90 in 1994 and has been deteriorating for years. A spokesperson for the Missions, the Double-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres, said the team is “unable to comment about those rumors at this time.”The possibility of constructing a ballpark in downtown San Antonio and bringing a Triple-A team here has beenWeston’s involvement in this latest effort could make the difference.

The land is near the northern portion of San Pedro Creek Cultural Park, the first section to be beautified and lined with walking paths and public art installations. SAISD is trading its property for 2.2 adjacent acres owned by Weston Urban.
