Limerick-based company intends to create 40 jobs over three years as it moves to Castletroy

Spun out of Limerick entrepreneur Michael McNamara’s Macnovate company, MacMarts recently moved to a new 12,000sq ft space at the National Technology Park in Castletroy, where it plans to create 40 additional jobs in the county over the next three years to help deliver its service in Ireland. “The new positions will cover a range of roles including product management, software engineering, sales, marketing and customer success,” said the company.Macmarts’ core product is called SpendBooks, a cloud-based budget management application for large manufacturing companies in sectors like pharmaceuticals and medtech. But the company said it is also launching ProjectBooks, which it describes as “a cloud-based project resource management application”.

Commenting on Thursday’s announcement, Macmarts chief executive Tony Frawley said: “We are delighted to announce the launch of Macmarts into the Irish and UK markets. Companies in heavily regulated industries can now use our technology to lessen the time that goes into managing multimillion-euro budgets.”
