On Friday, Coquitlam RCMP said police were hunting for the two, who posed as contractors working at North Fraser Pretrial Centre when in reality they went to the Port Coquitlam jail to break out Alkhalil, 35 and in the midst of a gangland trial on charges of first-degree murder and conspiracy.
The trial of Alkhalil and co-accused Larry Amero, who is only charged with conspiracy, is scheduled to continue Wednesday even in Aklhalil’s absence. Coquitlam RCMP have released photos of two suspects believed to have helped Rabih Robby Alkhalil escape from North Fraser Pretrial Centre on Thursday. One of the images purports to be an Australian named Henry Ward offering a positive review of a company’s services. Another is a sample of a fake Arkansas driver’s licence in the name of Ashley Boyce Hamlet.
