Ombugadu told journalists in Akwanga, Nasarawa State, yesterday, that with such measure security agencies would effectively stem the tide of violent crimes currently threatening the country’s peace.
According to the Peoples Democratic Party gubernatorial candidate for Nasarawa State, experience has shown that proper deployment of technology and collaboration among security operatives would completely check the current spate of kidnapping for ransom and banditry. He expressed deep worry over the prevalence of kidnapping for ransom and mindless killing of innocent citizens by bandits in the country, stressing: “It is worrisome to note that with all the communication technologies and intelligent gathering available, we are not deploying them adequately to check the activities of bandits in the country.”
“If we can deploy these modern technologies, build synergy between security operatives and secure full support of the governments, we can checkmate kidnapping and banditry,” he reiterated, regretting that “the youths of the country have been neglected.”
