Special Adviser to Lagos State Governor on Innovation and Technology, Mr. Olatunbosun Alake, has urged corporate organisations, non-governmental organisations , as well as well-to-do individuals, to partner with the state government on innovation technology to encourage and put young talents into use for sustainable economy.
Alake, who stated this in Lagos during the launch of a teaching application called “Skill Paddy,” said it had become a necessity for private and corporate bodies in Lagos to partner with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s government in the development of youths’ skills in technology. He said that the government had been doing everything possible to grant start-off loans for youths engaged in technology, noting that the government is also looking forward to building technology campuses that will enable investors to come in and use.
The Special Adviser said Lagos State Government had been piloting a new curriculum, such as coding at primary level, fashion design, among others, for about 100 comprehensive schools in the state to encourage the youths. In his address, Chief Executive Officer , Skill Paddy, Mr. Kunle Erinle, said the organisation aimed to bridge the productivity gap among the youths by giving them the expertise needed to thrive in the 21st century global economy.
