I love how there are many people on here blaming FB but haven't acknowledged that the problem is the culture in which arranged marriage for the purpose of profit is the norm. FB should have caught it, but that culture and her parents need to be held responsible.

Some of these under developed nations still use old arranged marriages. While we in the western nation find this completely wrong, is really our place to judge other cultures where arranged marriage are common place.
I'm South Sudanese and this is not the real story. What happened was that this girl was having a lot of men competing for her to marry them and one of the guys told the family to pay 500 cows, 3 V8 cars and money. This girl's family doesn't even know how to use social media.

You do realise that in some cultures dowries and arranged marriages are the norm and that families are, in my experience, often less reliant on anti depressants and alcohol than most of those in the United States?
