Mastercard has opened a new European Technology Hub in Dublin

The state-of-the-art campus in Leopardstown will accommodate the 2,000 staff that the company plans to have in place by 2025, an expansion of the existing workforce of 975.

The new Dublin base will be the headquarters of Mastercard's global research and development division. "We are thrilled to open the doors to our new European Technology Hub in Dublin, which will serve as an innovation engine for our company across the region and beyond," said Ed McLaughlin, President of Mastercard Operations and Technology.

"By increasing our global technology footprint, we can be in closer proximity to our customers and stay at the cutting edge of emerging payment technology in support of all our stakeholders," he added. Mastercard says the new building will help support international and hybrid working as part of its 'Future of Work' approach.
