Sellers are boosting ratings of electronics with reviews for completely different products, Which? finds.

A glowing review of a cuddly toy is all very well, but not much help when the product it is next to is headphones

Which? found that some sellers were using loopholes in review merging, which can artificially inflate how high up in listings products are seen by customers. Most of the brands were not household names and were all sold by more than one seller, so Which? was unable to determine whether the brands themselves were implicated in any wrongdoing.The most highly-rated product boasted five stars, carried an "Amazon's Choice" stamp of approval and came with 40 glowing reviews. But none of the reviews actually related to the headphones themselves - instead they were for cuddly toys.

That's normal..

This is sadly nothing new. Just the same as Chinese selling a dozen of the exact same item under different brand names (normally some random jumble of characters) and all of them having very 'similar' reviews to bump their placement. Amazon is fast becoming a junk shop.
