The maker of the lethal drone claims that it can identify targets using artificial intelligence.

seems to have used few drones in Ukraine early onBut drones have also highlighted a key vulnerability in Russia’s invasion, which is now entering its third week. Ukrainian forces have used a remotely operated Turkish-made drone called the TB2against Russian forces, shooting guided missiles at Russian missile launchers and vehicles.

But Bendett questions whether Russia would unleash an AI-powered drone with advanced autonomy in such a chaotic environment, especially given how poorly coordinated the country’s overall air strategy seems to be. “The Russian military and its capabilities are now being severely tested in Ukraine,” he says.

Despite such uncertainties, the issue of AI in weapons systems has become contentious of late because the technology is rapidly finding its way into many military systems, for example to help interpret input from sensors. The US military maintains that a person should always make lethal decisions, but the US also opposes a ban on the development of such systems.

To some, the appearance of the KUB-BLA shows that we are on a slippery slope toward increasing use of AI in weapons that will eventually remove humans from the equation. “We'll see even more proliferation of such lethal autonomous weapons unless more Western nations start supporting a ban on them,” says

Is it so intelligent that can distinguish Ukrainian from Russian equipment, especially they are of the same type?

So overblown. This isn’t the Terminator.

From the users manual: To assure fault free operation, before launching the drone - (1) Arm the killer switch. (2) Step back. (3) Activate the killer switch.

Whatever. Just throw a jar of pickles at it. Problem solved.

Is it quite likely Putin was so lied to out of fear he really thought he could take Ukraine in days? USA fell for same propaganda with Iraq but 1 HUGE diff was American military took little casualties AND TOPPLED THE REGIME IN A WEEK. (Occupation/Nation building defeated USA).

_JakubJanda Ok, news flash. Even the most advanced AI in the world wouldn’t be able to identify a target in a battlefield with a viable precision and recall. This is yet another Potemkin village and a source of kickbacks from state contracts. As long as clueless Putin believes it.

_JakubJanda Ukraine's territorial defense units urgently need helmets, bulletproof vests, night vision goggles. Please support and retweet this initiative of the Ukrainian World Congress:

So far I haven't seen ANY intelligence in Russia's Special Military Operation....

Forget the cute drones, someone just needs to put a bullet in Putin’s head.

99% possibility it does not work.

Context:

They use that then we do know fly. Bring it on

Let see how long Russia can continuing the war. War is expensive especially when they got embargo. I bet it will only can stay for 4 month

It was only a matter of time before we saw something like this.

✌️

Inteligent weapons are only tools that are launched on the command of a human. So long as we humans want to kill each other there will be all kinds of horrific weapons made available to do the job.

Reminds me of the movie Angel has fallen. It's also sad to see how the human race goes to extreme to exterminate itself 😔

Hunter killer drone from call of duty 😂

Very Nazi V1 maikafer..

This I reckon tip of the iceberg. We the public will probably be horrified how sophisticated the weaponry out there these days.

Must cost a bomb one of them

It's war. Neutralize or be neutralized. War has two endings, there is a truce or one side wins.

It's a war. Anything and everything should be expected......unfortunately

as if war wasn't going to go down that route eventually

ashishchauhan NeilBahal

🥺😂😂😂🥺

its the same as the american switchblade drone

I don't know why anybody is worried about Russian AI when their actual intelligence deliberately targets civilians.

Brought to you by the same people that made the Lada

Please unless u can confirm the tech, don't assume!

If they coded the AI based on interviews with Russian generals in Ukraine we have nothing to fear.

first saw this propeller in Phantom, represent!

Why is a weapon that kills a specific person using AI a bad thing? Isn’t that better than killing indiscriminately and implicating innocents?

[Insert dark humor here about Russia sending its intelligence off to commit suicide.]

Um, this is literally no different in principle (but more primitive in execution) than the Switchblade 300 and 600 drones we're sending to Ukraine. There's still a human in the loop, but it has onboard AI to identify and target.

Time for another 'Ghost Army' (WWII) of inflatable tanks, landing craft, etc. Watch these drones destroy decoys.

inevitable

The concern os elonmusk

where AI should not be used

wait Russia got suicide drones lol lol.... THat AI they have is faulty cause they been all over the place smh smh

. City Defences include Starfish, RAF Decoy Sites (WWII) A decoy is a lure like the little fish bait or shiny spinner or coloured fly on the end of a fishing line, designed and selected to lure a big fish. .

Are you shure it's Russian? I'm just asking , because a very similar drone , the so called ' Kamikaze Drone ' it was supplied by the US to the Ucrainian Army and the Ukrainian NAZI militias, or am I wrong?

Putin wasting troop lives and military equipment.

Wouldn't it be nice if some good came out of this needless death and we decided that autonomous killing machines weren't such a good idea after all? I'm not going to hold my breath, but wouldn't it be nice?

Knowing that it is using the shit of AI we should start to think to cheat it with false images on the ground.

So far these Russian drones don't seem to have helped much!
