The technology inside the SoundPEATS MiniPro is based around the excellent Qualcomm 3040 chipset which uses Bluetooth 5.2 and supports SBC, AAC plus the latest aptX Adaptive codec. There’s also excellent noise cancellation performance with a noise reduction of up to -35db.
When gaming or watching a video, the Mini Pro will use the low latency mode which decreases the latency to a figure as low as 60ms. This means the sound on your smartphone screen matches the action on the screen. That’s the beauty of the new Qualcomm aptX Adaptive codec. For those of us who use iOS devices, there’s support for AAC which means we get the best-sounding audio too.
When it comes to battery life, the SoundPEATS MiniPro can play continuously for up to seven hours. There are two more full charges in the earbuds’ storage case which means there is a total of 21 hours of playtime before the case needs to be recharged. Charging is via a USB-C cable but there’s no wireless charging support, which is about the only criticism I have of these marvelous little earbuds.
