WASHINGTON—The Internal Revenue Service is backing off use of a plan with a private facial-recognition system to authenticate taxpayers’ identities for online accounts, the agency said Monday after criticism from lawmakers in both parties over privacy concerns.
“Everyone should feel comfortable with how their personal information is secured, and we are quickly pursuing short-term options that do not involve facial recognition,” IRS Commissioner Charles Rettig said in a statement on Monday.

Its stupid that we even have to file taxes, you know exactly how much money enters our bank accounts tax it and move forward and stop with this bullshit. Were also taxed on income, purchases, houses. This is pathetic and the tax code is only there for people to cheat it .
Defund the irs
How about they simplify the tax process first. You need a degree in hieroglyphics and cryptology to figure out how much you owe them.
