Abdul Qadeer Khan, a Pakistani scientist who shared nuclear-weapons technology and know-how with countries the U.S. regards as rogue states after helping his country build its first atomic bomb, died Sunday. He was 85.
At home, Dr. Khan is widely seen as a hero for making Pakistan the only nuclear-armed country in the Islamic world and giving it a deterrent against its arch rival, India, which also has atomic weapons.
The network of the International nuclear black market existed even before AQ Khan, since Henk Slebos, an alleged accomplice to provide illicit material to Khan, was already convicted in 1985.
He served our country he is our pride Who cares barking dogs
What a long winded, spiralled and loaded introduction. Let me help u:- 1. Father of Pak Nuc Program. 2. Nation’s hero (another’s villain). 3. Could not just sell technology at his own; implies either his confession was under duress or allegation was in itself wrongly framed.
A hero of Pakistan. May his soul rest in peace
sure no Einstein! Neither are the greedy, whether they seek money, power, or dogmatic beliefs.
Well, Alfred Nobel also patented dynamite. Who knows maybe there'll be Khan Prize. Ah, ups. Mr. Khan isn't from west country.
