Puentevella and Garcia were accused for violation of Section 3, paragraph e of the Republic Act 3019 otherwise known as the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act on Sept. 30, 2013 due to the alleged procurement of IT packages using his Priority Development Assistance Fund or PDAF.
In a decision promulgated on Nov. 16 by Associate Justice Oscar Herrera, Puentevella and Garcia have been acquitted “for failure of the prosecution to prove their guilt beyond reasonable doubt.”
