SINGAPORE - Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will on Friday participate in the virtual 27th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Economic Leaders' Meeting , at which leaders of 21 economies are expected to discuss how to improve trade and investments, innovation and sustainability, and inclusivity.
This year's theme under Malaysia's chairmanship - its second since 1998 - is"Optimising Human Potential towards a Future of Shared Prosperity: Pivot. Prioritise. Progress". The trio from Singapore are Singapore Business Federation chief executive officer Ho Meng Kit, Accenture Singapore senior managing director Teo Lay Lim and Standard Chartered Singapore head of commercial banking Goh Beng Kim.
Its economies account for a significant proportion - over 75 per cent - of Singapore's global trade in goods and services in 2019.
