The Federal Government yesterday said it may consider the adoption of the University Transparency and Accountability Solution , a software developed by the Academic Staff Union of Universities , for payment of salaries to University teachers, as alternative to the Federal Government’s Integrated Payroll Personnel Information System .Consequently, the new software will be presented to the office of the Accountant-General of the Federation tomorrow Wednesday for further verification.
“We agreed at the meeting to give required consideration to the UTAS alternative they came up with as a way of finding lasting solution to the lingering crisis over implementation of IPPIS. “After that, it will be sent to the National Information Technology Development Agency and from there to the office of the National Security Adviser for a second look.
For his part, the chairman of the Senate Committee on Tertiary Education and TETFund, Senator Ahmad Baba Kaita , said the interface had not ended but close to a stage of compromise by the two parties.
Did all the organisations mentioned certified IPPIS, pure hypocrisy of the highest order.
