NEW YORK—Revealing that the new software had seen skyrocketing growth among Gen-Z users over the past six months, consumer trends researchers confirmed Friday that teens are flocking to a new app where they just enter their own personal data into a form. “With over 650 million active users worldwide, Spress has proven immensely popular with teens who like the simplicity of just entering their name, address, and Social Security number into the appropriate data fields,” said Deloitte trend researcher Melanie Brandt, adding that the Spress app set itself apart from the pack among apps targeting to 13- to 18-year-olds by enabling users to hand over their sensitive personal information via text, pictures, and even video without any other function or product whatsoever. “Teen users also love the social aspect, which allows you to tag your friends so they have to enter their personal information. The success of this app, which dispenses with the normal features and functions of apps like TikTok, Vine, and Instagram in favor of just sending your personal information to the app’s investors, will likely make Spress the gold standard for new app development.” At press time, the app had nearly doubled in popularity among teens following the new company-generated Spress Yourself Challenge, where users competed to see who could enter the most personal data into the app.

Teens aren't too bright in these latter days. Non-functional brains; they'll fall for anything.

SwiftOnSecurity Nah, this would be 100 boomers

The girl cute tho

wilshipley It’s called Fortnite

davidakin Is this the Canada covid app you were peddling David?

fayalzo 😋😋😂

CzarIito yung_loose psm makes an app

cillia Certainly be more convenient for everyone if they could just enter everything in. Then google wouldn’t have to spend a ton of money in R and D, and the kids can just type their info once without getting probed in the future. Convenient for everyone :,)

Or do any kind of humor

SwiftOnSecurity “Mom! What’s my social security number?”

How is this legal and why are kids doing this

Lmao. I have to keep checking because everyone comments and likes on my personal info in broken english

So long as I don’t have to see stupid dancing I’m all for it

At least use autocomplete

Idk what the big deal is here. I’ve been doing this since like 2009.

Getting undivided attention, for once! 😜

What will the app do to the personal data though? That’s bad! (Intentional Onion eating)

'enabling users to hand over their sensitive personal information via text, pictures, and even video without any other function or product whatsoever' Lol

CrunchyFishTaco So Facebook? They’re going back to Facebook?

Hell yeah! I'll be buying some new identities! metaphorically speaking. Cheap fresh lungs? Sign me up! Need a heart? Plenty to choose from!

Most of the infants won’t get the joke... until they apply for a credit card.

As a bonus we’ll Include, ‘Free Identity theft guarantee’.

This is a bit harsh I feel when teens are probably amongst the most internet savvy of the population...

wouldn't be surprised if this actually happens lmao

Privacy is dead

Wait. What if you got paid by companies for letting them use your data?

That’s just a job application. Then the job sends you ads to the email you gave them after turning you down

Yooo where can I sign up?

This is annoyingly accurate

Seems like this might become an actual headline.

timfprice timfprice on fire today sir

I feel like MoodpathApp and Daylio are close contenders cos I am putting every personal aspect of my mood in there and who know where they’re selling that data

'If you're not paying, you're the product.'

Extra points if data entered in Chinese.

Are we pretending LinkedIn isn't another privacy nightmare?

Forget teens... I'm hearing daily rants from boomers saying the post-office has all their personal information and should be disbanded while they're giving hourly updates about every aspect of their lives on Facebook and twitter.

🤣👏 I'm tempted to launch it. Just to see how many sign in.

They think Mark Zuckerberg isn't doing a good enough job😂
