The coronavirus pandemic has forced organisations to change the way they engage with the public, and Vogue Codes is no exception. The hugely successful forum empowering women with the help of technology is going digital this year, offering online events and free virtual webinars. Founder of PepTalkHer Meggie Palmer told Sky News she was “really passionate about helping women be paid equally”.
“I was really frustrated when I found out little girls get less pocket money than little boys, and women across the board are paid 20 per cent less than their male colleagues,” she said. “Frankly, I was just really annoyed by these statistics so I wanted to do something about it, I didn’t want to just sit there and complain.” Ms Palmer launched a free app called PepTalkHer which she described as “kind of like a fitbit but for your career”.
