Phone makers will focus on foldable screens and the introduction of blazing fast 5G wireless networks at the world's biggest mobile fair starting February 25 in Spain as they try to reverse a decline in sales of smartphones. After pressure today from the United States Senate toward eight Internet Service Providers, AT&T announced it would lift its broadband data cap overage fees temporarily as the COVID-19 coronavirus forces people to stay in their homes., signed by 18 U.S.

"While it's likely that your networks will experience significantly greater traffic as a consequence of social distancing measures, we encourage you to forebear from application of broadband caps and associated fees or throttling as workers and families cope with the effects of this health emergency," the letter reads.

"Many of our AT&T Internet customers already have unlimited home internet access, and we are waiving home internet data overage for the remaining customers," a spokesperson for AT&T emailed, adding that its low-cost Access option will continue to be offered to"limited income households for $10 a month."

AT&T offers three data-capped plans, with ceilings as low as 150 GBs to 1 TB, and upon exceeding the allotted data limit, AT&T adds 50 gigabytes for a $10 fee, though, even its Unlimited plans experience throttling.telling MotherboardThe senators also requested that the ISPs consider working"with public school districts, colleges and universities to provide free, or at-cost, broadband options for students whose schools close due to COVID-19 who don't have access at home.
