A Tasmanian businessman attains the state's first drone spraying licence and is using the technology to carry out high-risk work at high speed.

At Cethana Dam in Tasmania, a job traditionally handled by an abseiler has been replaced by new drone technology.

He decided to fill that gap and spray weeds in places too dangerous for workers and light aircraft to access, and now, after years of battling through red tape to attain his permit, he has finally received the first drone spraying licence in Tasmania.
